How safe is it to live off-grid in Spain? We’re not talking about safety when working with tools or the how-to keep animals safe, but rather about safety relating to criminal activity.

When setting out to build a new life in a different country, you’ll hear all the weird and scary stories: people getting ripped off, off-grid houses getting broken into, criminals targeting homes that are situated off the beaten path… you wonder how to protect your property.

Although I’m not an expert when it comes to criminal activity in Spain, in this video I share our experiences (and that of other people who live off-grid near us – and in other areas). We’ll discuss break-ins and robberies as well as what you can do to protect your home and property in less traditional ways.
